George Galloway in Karak

Ammon news is reporting that George Galloway has been seen campaigning for Fawwaz Zreiqat in Karak (First district).

It will be interesting to see if it will do him any good.

Poor Galloway. Does he know he will be dragged in the mud of the elections? and what's the point of Fawwaz Zreiqat running for elections when we all know with 101% that the elections are rigged and no one on the black list, like Fawwaz, will be allowed to make it to the Jordanian parliament because of his anti-colonialist stances.

Samar, Zreigat's biggest problem is that his cousin is running against him. This will split the vote and give a better chance for candidates from other clans.

I was happy to see this "anti-colonialist" who has made his fortune at the expense of the sufferings of Iraqi people fail. If he was really black listed then good for the government. Abdullah Zreikat has won and he is a very respected person in Karak and beyond.

For a guy who likes to claim he is a socialist and progressive and liberal, you never fail to surprise your readers. Fawwaz Zreigat has been acquitted of all charges, as well as Galloway. Those charges were meant to destroy reputations of people who stood against the US genocide in Iraq. Those charges continue are useful, even after the acquittals, for people like you to attack leftists and nationalists. But coming from a guy like you who hates Nahed Hattar, and now we discover you hate Fawwaz Zreigat, and the IAF. like a typical neoliberal, you hate anyone who is anti-imperialist and anti-regime. then you cry foul when people reject your company.

The above was meant for Mr. Batir.

sometimes i think it's the ultimate insult to human dignity to be a citizen of an Arab dictatorship, where we are played like puppets.

In this case it's the Jordanian elections. Even Gallaway has been played like a puppet in Jordan. Anyone with smarts knew Fawwaz or any anti-colonialist figure will never be allowed to win. the exclusion of Toujan Faisal was the start of this sham democracy.

Kuntar I do not hate any so-called anti-colonialists. I just hate merchants who make theor money out of the misery of other like your good friend Zreikat. The accusations are documented in the UN report for the oil for money scandal. Ah yeh, you think Saddam and his gang are more credible than the UN. No way to convince you then.

batir, have you no shame? these allegations were NOT made by the UN. The UN investigated mostly based on US allegations. No one was found guilty. Yet here you are standing by the US position. Why? is it true you are a pen for hire Batir?

let me explain to the readers the background story.

Fawwaz contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to charity run by Gallaway's wife. There is not accusation that the charity misused the money. the allegations that in return for the contribution to the charity, Zureigat won food-for-oil contracts, influenced by Gallaway. So there was no accusation of personal use of any money. Zureigat got contracts, he delivered those contracts, he contributed some of the profits to the charity run by Gallaway's wife. So what's Batir talking about? nothing really. just the ususal attacks against anti-imperialists and anti-colonialists.

how low can you go Batir?

The Charity was not run by Galloways wife.
It was run by Galloway.
The money from the Oil Deals that Galloways wife reeived was paid directly into her personal account,so noon knows what it was used for, or whether it was transferred to the Galloways joint account.
The accounts of the Mariam Appeal were "disappeared" so none knows what the money was spent on.

man, you never stop sinking to new lows.

I guess it boils down to who you consider to be your reliable sources, the Americans, zionists, and right wingers, ooorrrr the left and the anti-war groups.

Batir, we know which side you are on.

"hey anon, there was no indictment PERIOD. anything you say is worthless". Wow, this logic reminds me of the corruption cases in Jordan as well.
And how did Mr Zreikat "win" the contracts for oil for food, can you enlighten me?

At 8:54 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

By using Galloways name.
And the letter Galloway gave him, nominating him as his agent

batir, silly of you to equate jordanian "justice" system with British justice system. please, try to use commonsense in your arguments so as not to waste our time.

Why vote in an election rigged from the start.

"Staunchly conservative tribal areas are over-represented in parliament, with each MP representing 2,000-3,000 voters, compared with more than 90,000 voters per MP in the capital Amman."
