Finally, the government has announced that Sultan Ajlouni, Amin Sani’ and Salem and Khaled Abu Ghalyoun are set to be released on August 20, and the Israeli authorities have been notified of this decision.
Previously, the government has hinted that they might not be released, citing objections from Israel and a desire not to jeopardize talks over release of other prisoners from Israeli jails.
But the Israelis failed to show any public interest in the issue. I have not heard nor read any official statements expressing any position at all, leaving the Jordanian government with a skeptical public to assert that Israel does, in fact, give a rat’s ass whether they are released or not. In the end, they decided to do the right thing, after trying their best not to.

So who is the winner and who is the loser in this case. The prisoners served their full term notwithstanding the fuss that they made about their heroism and about why they should be revered and honored instead of being locked up, the government kept up with its promise to the Israelis that it is a trustworthy government when it comes to enforcing its laws, and when it promises something it will deliver, finally, the Israelis ought to be content since everything worked out according to the guidelines that they set forth when they decided to release the prisoners. I would say it is a draw. what say you.
I would say that the government would have done better had it not sent signals that it had a problem with releasing them. They created the issue and then had to release them anyway.
Now you know why I respect Hizbullah! No direct negotiations and they set the conditions and get them.
"Now you know why I respect Hizbullah! No direct negotiations and they set the conditions and get them" !!
Who set the conditions and get them? Hassan NaserAllah!! he is hiding like a rat addressing his followers by TVs. He can not protect his own ass to set conditions. Regardless of what we say about our government its 100 times better than his militia, and our defeats 100 times better his vectories.
Sorry Khalaf I had to respond to siwash, I could not let that go without a proper response.
Have we reached just a state of servitutude that "our defeats are even better than our victories"??? I cannot believe that any Arab would state that! May you be guided to your senses anonymous.
His illusionary victories are never ours; I do not why you changed it to "our victories"!!
Ramadan Kareem.
p.s. If you are not Muslim, Happy September!
