Just for the record...

Despite my misgivings, I am happy that Petra has been listed with the new seven wonders. I would add that Petra’s inclusion is more of a validation of the New Seven Wonders project than the project is a validation of the greatness of Petra.

I really am not a killjoy!

First of all ,,before we start congratulate our selves ,we must recognize the original people who built this, and as far as I know,we , Jordanians did not build this ,it is after all,the Nabateans ad more accurately the poor Nabateans that built this magnificent City ,so before , we dance and scream, I urge all of to thank the poor people of Nabetea,

I am sure you are not a killjoy, that is why I provoked you. If you want to know what a killjoy is just see the psycho with the eternal depression syndrom who was just commented previously on this post.

Talking of killjoys, let me share with you some real ones re the Petra selection:
1. The celebration that took place at the Treasury, which showed an abundance of resources but a serious shortage of taste and decent productions - managed by JTV
2. The distaste and lack of tact and courtesy shown by immediately cutting the broadcast of the announcement of the other five winners once Petra was announced - Again a JTV brilliant move
3. The fireworks that were an absolute horror to see taking place at the Treasury
4. An anticipated killjoy is the number of individuals who would claim credit for this selection

On the other hand A TOTAL JOY is the resolve and knack for professionalism in tourism that Wadi Musa residents have shown all along in welcoming people from all over the world. They have always demonstrated warm hospitality tempered with tolerance and open mindedness.

If anyone deserves recognition, the residents of Petra top the list.
